I'm a singer in a progressive metal band. Far from professional, and I'm not really aiming for being the stereotype prog singer. I'm kinda trying to develop my own style in melodies and rhythms (being a clone sucks), and have made good progress in that as well as the technical aspects of singing over the past years. Or that's what I like to think ![]() An influence would be Maynard James Keenan, the singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle, for his distinctive style. A song that I really like to sing is a recent song by our own band. It starts with a heavy, very rhythmical riff in 7/4, and I sing a somewhat oriental melody on top of that, mainly in 4/4. About ten years ago, we used to play death metal. I did vocals then too. |

The idea of having more than four dimensions is that those dimensions beyond the fourth are here/everywhere too, only we can't see them because they are so tiny. So the creatures living in those higher dimensions would be us.
The theory of earth revolving around the sun made no sense either some time ago, but is commonly accepted now. |
