Accepting The Terms Of Use

(1) THE TERMS OF USE

The Terms Of Use (TOU) is in place to prevent and/or correct major problems that may arise on this board. Any rules and terms stated must be followed and respected.

1.1 Agreement
You are, by registering, bound to the terms of this BB. Any violations or breeches of this agreement will result in proper penalties. Severe violations or breeches will result in the termination of this agreement, at which point you will be banned from this BB.

1.2 False Penalties
If in any case do you feel that you have been penalized unfairly, please PM an Administrator with your case and a trial will be held.

1.3 Trials
Trials deal with unfair penalties and reported staff. During a trial both sides will provide their argument to the Administrator responsible for the case, a final ruling will be announced by the Administrator. The final ruling must be respected and all previous charges disregarded.

1.4 Failure Of Enforcement
A Staff's inability to enforce the TOU will not be seen as a waiver of any term or condition for any user, nor will it be an example or excuse for similar act or behaviour.



(2) PROHIBITED CONTENT

2.1 Laws Of Government
You must abide by all local, state, provincial, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations that apply to the region of your residency. Any violations will result in your immediate removal from this service.

2.2 Infringement Of Rights
Any infringement of right - including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks - is not allowed. You must obtain the owner's written permission before posting any copyrighted material. You may provide a link to the original document if you cannot obtain permission.
Hotlinking to images not hosted by yourself is inconsiderate and may often infringe upon rights, thus treated equal as infringement of rights.

2.3 Terrorism
Terrorism is an act of violence or abuse towards innocent persons, places, or entity. We do not allow such, or similar act.

2.4 Viruses [ 2.5 ]
Viruses and/or other harmful computer software cause major damages and problems, owners of infected computers may suffer greatly.
Posting, instructing about, or promoting viruses is not permitted.

2.5 Hacking Materials [ 2.4 ]
You may not post, upload, link to, or e-mail any content that contains, promotes or gives instruction about hacking materials or information. Hacking is similar to viruses and often causes major damages.
Warez, Roms, cracks, passwords, CD-keys, serial numbers, and hacking or cheating for any game is also considered hacking and dealt with according to the seriousness of the violation.

2.6 Pornography [ 2.1 | 2.10 ]
Pornography, nudity, or sexual material of any kind is strictly prohibited.

2.7 Gambling or illicit drugs
Gambling and illicit drugs are harmful to the human body and mind, and considered inappropriate by this BB, therefore not permitted.

2.8 Profanity [ 2.9 | 2.10 ]
Profanity and flaming are considered inappropriate. This is not tolerated on this BB.
Criticism and arguments are allowed, but please keep them appropriate and constructive.

2.9 Spam [ 2.8 ]
Spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes are inconsiderate and rude to other members; please keep them to the games section in general chat.
Unnecessary bumping and double posting are also considered spam; topics bumped for no reason will be closed.
Posts that ruin a good thread are deleted.

2.10 Human Rights [ 2.8 ]
Invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity is a violation of human rights, thus penalized severely. Continual impersonation of a staff is punishable by ban.
Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, obscene content, false information, or libel is also penalized as violations of human rights.

2.11 Bribe
You may not bribe members of staff in any method. Caught violations are punishable by ban.

2.12 Common Sense And Etiquette
You may not violate any rules of common sense and etiquette; punishment will be determined by staff.



(3) RESTRICTED CONTENT

3.1 Multiple Accounts [ 2.9 ]
Multiple accounts belonging to the same person or entity is not allowed. If accounts are found to have the same IP without the Administrator's knowledge, a warning PM will be sent to all associated accounts, If there are no replies after three (3) days, all associated accounts will be deleted.
If for any reason you need multiple accounts per IP (i.e. siblings on the same computer), please inform an Administrator via PM before registering.

3.2 Advertising [ 2.9 ]
Advertising is not allowed anywhere other than your signature. Any advertised site, board, program, facility, organization, location, etc. must comply with the TOU of this BB.

3.3 Signatures
All content must comply with the terms of this BB.
Please keep signature sizes under 550x120, excessively large signatures will be replaced.



(4) STAFF REGULATIONS

In addition to the previous terms stated, as a staff you must comply with the following.

4.1 Setting An Example
As a member of staff you must follow all the rules set above, any violations will be dealt with by an Administrator in additional to the regular penalty.

4.2 Enforcing The TOU
The TOU is in place to eliminate major problems a BB may face, as a member of staff it is your responsibility to make sure that the terms are followed, and correct problems as they occur.

4.3 Bribe [ 2.11 ]
You may not accept any form of bribe, and you are expected to punish the person offering the bribe accordingly.

4.4 Staffing
You as a member of staff must perform your job and stay active. Incompetent staff will be replaced.



(5) PENALTIES

Penalties are determined by staff according to the severity of violation. You may expect anything from warnings for minor or moderate first offences, to permanent ban for repeated or major offences.



(6) SUGGESTIONS & REPORTING VIOLATIONS

6.1 Suggestions
You may post suggestions or general complaints in the specified forum(s) in the feedback section.

6.2 Concerning The TOU
If you find any error in the TOU, such as typos, grammatical mistakes, or clearly unreasonable rules, etc. you are encouraged to notify an Administrator by PM.
Also, please feel free to PM your suggestions to an Administrator.

6.3 Reporting Violations
You may report a violation by either the 'Report' button beside each post (for reporting posts), or by PMing a staff (for reporting members). If, and only if you are reporting a staff, please PM an Administrator. If you have any criticism on an Administrator, please post it in the appropriate forum in the feedback section.



(7) RIGHTS

7.1 Copyright
All content on this BB are copyrighted to their respective owner.

Content without a specified owner, unless otherwise stated, are copyrighted to Circuit World.

7.2 Governing Of Copyrights
All copyrights are governed and protected by the Canadian Copyright Act.

7.3 Reservation Of Rights
Please note that we reserve the right to modify, delete, or terminate any member, post, or service on this BB with or without explanation and/or warning. We guarantee that we will only use the privileges stated if and when absolutely necessary.

7.4 Modification Of The TOU
We reserve the right to modify the TOU at any time with or without notice. All changes made take effect the moment they are posted. Continual use of our service denotes your agreement to the TOU.



(8) MISCELLANEOUS

8.1 Warning System
Each member is allowed five warnings, and warned according to the severity of their offence. Once a member has reached 100% warning level they are suspended or banned.



(9) DISCLAIMER

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by PM. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

-I dont think we need to worry about age of users. If they get out of hand then we could band them. Plus we always can beleive what they say. They could lie and say they are 18.
