Ok heres the thing. I accidentally went into a 'naughty' site and now I'm getting all these pop-ups about hardcore, enlargements ect.  HELP!!! |

download ad-aware and scan your computer. have a virus scanner? use it. Oh and switch to firefox since IE is the evil pop and virus king. |

I've got a pop up blocker that should block every pop up but it doesn't work for those things. Also I have an addware-spyware remover called Spybot- Search & Destroy and that still doesn't help. |

also, try using Window's sytem utility: System Restore, set your PC back to the date before you went to the site. Don't worry though, all files will be intact, it only reverses installed apps, and stuff liek that. Start>Programs>Accessories>System Utilities>System Restore |

Spybot is good too. I have it and Ad-Aware, along with a few other things, and Ad-Aware sometimes finds things that Spybot doesn't, and Spybot sometimes finds things that Ad-Aware doesn't.. So, it's best to use a variety of things, as Seth said. |

Also if these programs dont work you will need to post a Hijackthis scan. Thats what my forums are about helping people with pc problems. There is a Tutorial on how to post a Hijackthis log. There might be some those programs leave and dont find since there not meant to find such items that cause pop-ups. Now it can find pop-up causing programs but sometimes it wont. If you want to know more give me a pm or come to my forums. Hope I can help you out. |
