question 1) are there any internet based programs that can wipe and delete, temp internet files, history, and temp files, and can clean out the addess bar without downloading anything? the reason I ask is because at my work i am disallowed acces to basicly everything and i would prefer to clear those things off without downloading anything. question 2) anyone know of a good, indroductory program that allows you to create and slightly furnish the inside and/or outside of a house? like for people who wanna renovate houses and stuff? a person at my work want to get into this and wants a program that isnt too difficult to learn but is also still effective and worth her money...but it cant be too expensive |

1) There's no way you should be giving web-based programs access to your hard drive like that. I've never come across a program like this. 2) I used 3D Home Architect once upon a time, it was pretty sweet. |

Surely, the restrictions are in place for a reason? (ie you are supposed to be working?) |

1. You can delete a file hidden file that is very that you need to use windows and then tell your boss you have to format the drive? 2. What seth said about the 3D Home Architect that is a very good program. |

Although dragonsile had the best answer the other option is the free demo of Clean Space 8 http://www.security-related.com/clean_space_8_features.htm Gaming4JC |

I think what Iostream meant is that he cannot get to the Internet Options or cleaning cookies, temporary internet files etc. is disabled on the machine at his work/bank/whatever. And he probably can't access the folders that have all that stuff in to delete them manually either. Anyways, i've never heard of a program like this that runs from the web, I know of a few that can be installed to your system, but none that just run straight away without the need to install. So unfortunately I can't help you there, sorry :/ |

No offense, but you must be pretty young. All jobs are boring. Well, ok, not all, but 99.9% are, and you're beyond lucky if you ever manage to get a job you actually like. But anyway, if the usual features have been disabled, as most corporations do, you shouldn't be able to do what you're trying to do, without hacking the computer somehow, right? So.. I don't think anyone is going to be able to help you via software, or it would be a TOS violation, etc. right? Perhaps you need to consider bribing your system administrator with pie or something, to delete the history/temp files/etc. for you? Or.. maybe a coincidental power failure would help? Or.. maybe if you just wait long enough, you'll find that everything is set to delete by itself after 90 days or something? Or.. pray?

You forgot the hammering the computer or using Magic (tm) Truthfully, I think all jobs are boring, unless you get one that involves high pay and explosions...
They'll find out. Trust me. ![]()
How do you know about those things? Did you use them once? :smithster: |
