hm looks like you're not the only one:

maybe you can find the answer there?

I've only tried being promted to create a profile which turned out to be caused by some kind of crash as the firefox.exe file was still on my list of processes... I just shut if of and I was allowed to start up without a new profile...

@das ein: I don't think I've heard anyone claim that FireFox is flawless, that would be pretty naive. The reason that people get exited about FireFox is that it's a great browser, better and safer than IE... and standart compliant. Just to give a few reasons why *I* got hooked ;)

But maybe I should go get the bookmark backup thingie mentioned in the thread? *runs off*

Nope.

I wasn't even online when it deleted everything.

And i didn't import anything from IE. >_<

And i realised, it jumps whenever i touch the minimizing and maxamizing and such. :ermm:

The page just goes all flickery and weird.

well I still have my bookmarks and I found them in a file called 'bookmarks.html' in this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\nina\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ed9z4vfg.default

It also has a 'bookmarks.bak' file in that folder, I can see my bookmarks when I open it in notepad.
You could do a search and see if you can find any similar files, maybe your bookmarks are not all lost...?

anyway, I see a backup file in "default.go7" in my computer, try using that.

edit
or search for "bak" on your computer, and try to find the backup.
