Did anyone watch the movie the Merchant of Venice? Someone just told me they thought it was terrible, But i disagree. Granted, it doesn't compare to the play, but hey, You try and write a screenplay of one of the greatest masterpeices ever written. Although it didn't compare, I thought Al Pacino was outstanding as Shylock. So, Anyone watch it and have any opinions on it? |

I haven't seen the movie, but I really liked the play. We had to read it in class, and I think I was the only one hwo acually liked it. O.o I loved how Portia turned the contract against Shylock, very clever. |

Yeah. Pacino reeeally makes you feel sorry for Shylock though. And he puts so much passion in to the whole "If you prick us...Do we not bleed?" scene. |
