on sunday there i broke my leg in 2 places (tibia and fibia bones in my shine), it was very painful. I phoned an ambulance but they told me it wasnt an emrgency so i waited for 2 hours for an ambulance and still nothing. I had to get a taxi to the hospital. I then found out that i would have to get an operation done on my leg, metal plates! to secure my leg from breaking again. Now this means every 5 years i need to go and get my leg cut open for these plates to be polished. Anyone on here ever had the same accident, im very scared incase i cant walk again, although my physio wants me walking within 6 weeks, and im expected to be oon crutches for 3 months, but they are to help me walk aswell in 6 weeks. Im devestated, i broke my leg now twice in the one year, i am going to see my lawyer tommorow about a compensation claim as my first break was in may and my boss knocked me down when he was carrying on. My lawyer said im on to a 4 figured sum of money for that. But twice in one year could see it sore to a six figured sum. Im not after the money though. i just want my life back now. Im only 17 and was just about to start an apprenticeship and this happens. GUTTED :'( |

I once broke my wrist tripping on a curb.... though i also had to have surgery on both eyes to fix a lazy eye and the fact that i was crosseyd, then about 6 months ago i had to have surgery to remove all my wisdom teeth cause they were fused to my jaw and they could have created some kinda infection. |

I am kind of disgusted that the British tax payer pays out loads, and then get's told that he/she will have to wait for medical attention because they don't have enough services to support you. I am pretty sure that you could take legal action against them for just leaving you there, without any medical attention. They need a good slap over the rists, although I understand that it is actually the goverments fault for not paying them enough. |
