People who doesn't know how to appreciate...

I have noticed many people in this forum....
For example... They posted a question about something then someone
tried to help them.... and the person who helped him/her isn't quite
accurate...
then the guy looking for help.... didn't even appreciate what that person did for him/her.... instead... he/she even criticized the person that helped him/her..

------

it isn't me or anything... i just noticed it.. :D :P

Please understand that most people only come here for one thing, a solution to their problem. If someone provides information that does not help them resolve their issues, then they wouldn't care about thanking the person.

Personally, I don't mind that we aren't thanked. It's nice when it is done, but it's not necessary.

Appreciation. Ah, something that has indeed gone downhill, and with good reason. I always appreciate help I'm given however over the time I have spent here (what a few months?!?!) I have grown tired and annoyed at the muppets who claim to give help but are in fact giving out information that is false.

Now I mean no offense to anybody but if you can't give accurate information then why post? If you are going to answer someone's question then at least do a search if you're unsure or even better leave it to someone who knows the answer :/

I do agree that if someone helps you a simple thank you wouldn't go a miss (best done through PM since it's considered spam) but it isn't needed really. In all honesty, if someone does give inaccurate answers then the person seeking help has every right to be angry. Especially since it's something that is growing more and more, usually by these so called "support volunteers".

*sigh* Forgive me, my feelings on support issues is probably well known but when it comes to appreciation I can understand people who don't show it. I wouldn't blame anyone for being annoyed if they are given a false answer because the person giving it clearly doesn't know what they are on about or hasn't researched it. When in doubt, leave it to the blue guys ^_^

If you're criticised because of it then it's a clue to stop giving silly answers and start reading about. You'll only be unappreciated if you give a wrong answer and if you give a wrong answer then why are you answering the topic? :/

Baffles me why people are more interested in having their name in every topic instead of giving good help.

I think it's only considered spam if someone says "you're welcome".

When someone just says,

"That did it!

Thanks!"

That's ok. But if the person who gave support says "you're welcome" that's unnecessary bumping (spam)

The problem in this case, apccute14, is that your reply wasn't particularly helpfull in the first place. One reason why this topic has been made.

100% agree.

im not the type of person who doesnt appreciate help as every chance i get i say thank you to anyone who helps me out. thing is, i could see him viewing the forum and waited clicking refresh for him to post a reply only to find his reply was pathetic and not even worth waiting for thats what made me say that it was a pointless answer because i think all 29.000+ members will agree it was a worthless answer

at least when i post help, i try to point them in the right direction if i dont know the exact thing, im not an admin on any board so i cant tell them where to go exactly, i would find them a topic that would have the answer, or tell them the general area. otherwise i try to keep my mouth shut if i have absolutely no clue.
