What makes a good moderator?; There qualities

 What do people need to be a good moderator??

Is it there form of speech? Popularity among other fellow members??. Roughness, cruelty? How they express themselves??

Because I have some mods, that I don't really know if there using the English language. What qualities do people need to become excellent mods?? That's my question. :luna:

 Well, they need to be active. They need to be respectful. They have to know what the basic forum is about, if you have an anime forum and they have no clue what anime is- then they shouldn't be a global moderator. :angel: Just the basics I guess.

 They have to be active and non-lazy, mainly. Anyone can learn the tools, but non-laziness is essential to make sure that they actually use them.

 It helps if they have modded else where before, because then you can go check out how effective they are, by either asking the admin or viewing their posts to see if they ever actualy did any work.
