what's up with the topic title? anyway, i've heard this problem a few weeks ago and went asking people with a PSP( NOT gamespot board members though ) and they did agree that it feels a bit "wrong" sometimes but they never had real problems with it, none of them had it happen that the button was stuck or anything.and personally, i didn't feel a thing when i played it yesterday(damn that was my day!) but then again, i didn't really pay attention to it either .it probably is so that the button is not where it should be, but it's not a big problem so far |

Hey, we made this thing for you to adapt to  Aren't handhelds (or about anything that has buttons) supposed to be user-friendly? Is it that bad to make the thing a few millimeters bigger?
 I would. |

This is a major problem for developers though, giving them frustration just because "the button doesn't feel right when i play this game."
I don't think a president of a company should be saying these things. It's like saying:

thing is, sony is too arrogant to change it. even though they, seem to, know that people have trouble with it. besides, it's already a big boy, so one sentimeter bigger wouldn't mind, especially if it meens better playability. but as i said, i think it isn't thát bad. |

Wow, thats a pretty big design fault. Yeh, so they designed it knowing there would be problems, and knowing that it would be less responsive than other buttons... but surely they could have just extended the body of the system by 3mm or so to compensate for it? even if it still wasn;t perfect, it would be much much better than it is currently, and wouldn't stick either. Seems a bit weird. |

it is weird, i just don't get it, what's the problem of making the unit barely one CM wider? they didn't want it to be any bigger eh? well i am SURE that nobody would complain about that >< . fools |

But it was designed to fit snugly in the designer's pocket, and that 3 mm would mean he'd have to be careful when washing his clothes, possibly using only cold water, to avoid shrinkage. I agree, that attitude is completely unacceptable for even lower level management, much less somebody high up. Anybody who puts form above functionality deserves a good kick in the head. |
