Indeed, as stated in the board rules:

Max Signature size: you may have images and text that total 550 x 150 or less. Quick check: Your ENTIRE signature (not individual images) must fit within this box. No text greater than size 7, please.

I hate being a meanie, but I hate excessive scrolling even more (and I'm not the only one).
