How would I go about fixing the DOS boot record(s)? (s if more). I want to reload the computer again, but because there's a problem with the DOS boot record I can't. It's been 'broken' since the last time I reloaded (after I reloded I tried to "back up" the now new reloaded computer (using the option of the 5 options when you reboot using the 'reload cd'). but I can't.

Does :lights: know?   :( :( :(

ME. and yes I know the "stone age" computer. but you'd be amazed at what this ME can do that others can't. Like for norton "one button checkup" it scans WAY more things then it does on the XP/2000/other computers (besides 98).

what drive(s) is the DOS boot record or Master boot record stroed on? I'm at the screen to where it says:
A:\

I keep doing (either)
FDISK/MBR X*
FDISK/CMBR X*

where 'x' is either a-z.
