Avatar System Changes

Posts: 24,094 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: September 14, 2002 I'm Browsing With Safari	There have been two changes/improvements to the avatar system. 1.) You no longer have to pick the size. The avatar will be automatically sized and resized if it is too large. This should make it easier on new users and you should see fewer distorted avatars now. 2.) Due to a lack of good default avatars and the fact that avatars should be unique, the pre-installed avatars have been removed. You can still upload avatars and remotely link avatars. If your board would like to offer a certain set of avatars to its members you can uplaod them as post attachments and then make 1 topic that provides the links so people can use the url.

Indeed, they did look odd. Quizbiz, I sort of agree with you but I think a new user will end up less confused by not having to pick the size.

Please change it back as it was...allow admin to set the size for the avatars...please... The thing is most of the members in my forums agree to resize in advanced to 150x100 the remote avatars they are going to put. Now everytime they set avatars, they get distorted images! William
