I don't really know of a way to create instant popularity for a site. Really wish I did, though. The only thing I can say is to have patience. I myself am still in the 'have patience stage'. lol However, what do you exactly mean by...
Do you mean you can only talk about things with computers? |

if u want to make it popular invite all ur friends and family and tell them u made it for them...if they buy into it u should have people posting in no time..and then others will. The only problem is u can't charge family members to join if ur site sky-rockets
There's a new acronym going around it's WDTM (what does that mean) ...very useful you should use it!!! |
