I have a weird problem. When I hit CTRL - Alt - Delete, it comes up without that blue thing about it, with the "X" button. Also, IIRC, it used to tell me how much CPU each program was using. How do I change it back? |

Odd...and it's XP Home, right? Mine's done that before, than just changed back one day....not sure what to tell you. Might go on your Guest Account (or make another account), and see if it still does it on them. |

Double click it. It's just been accidentally double-clicked to just show the performance graphs only Oh yeah, and I had a little problem with task manager. I tried to use it to close a crashed process but it opened 42 seperate instances of itself and locked up my machine for ages. Someone explain that one  *EDIT* BTW: It shows you how much CPU and memory each process is using on the processes tab only (it doesn't do it for programs) |

Matt D, THAT, I do know. Sometimes, and it seems to be for no reason, the Task Manager takes more power from your CPU to keep the scan's recent than it normally would. And if you're closing a process that's usin' a lot of power in your PC (or your PC gets lagga! at the time), it can open up a bunch of Task Manager's for no real reason. And each one, once that gets going, tries to scan eachother's scans, that takes up more CPU power, it keeps goin' and goin', your PC gets really screwed over.. |

That happened to me when I did that service pack update several months ago. I did not double click it to get it like that, it did it by itself upon reboot, and I nearly re-installed Window$ because I thought the update had mulleted my system. Re-installed twice since then anyway. Stupid Micro$oft garbage.. |

Wow. That I never knew. Windows is wierrrrd  I'm pretty sure that must've been what happened, because Visual C# 2005 Beta crashed. Micro$oft + Beta software = nightmare :'(
I repeat: 'Windows is wierrrrd' |
