 Ok i have been thinking. People hate copyrights on skins, right? And some people don't like set width skins.

So what i have been thinking, is that when Invisionfree 2.0 comes out, i am thinking of making copyright free skins. Not only that, but also 2 versions of skins.

One version will be a set width skin. You know, grads are 800x30.
Second version is the EXACT same skin as the first, but alot wider. Such as this board's width.

What do you think?

 Why not just not make them fixed width? Zero_Tolerance has a code at IFSZ (I won't link as that would be advertising) to allow you to have a different gradient on the left and right than that in the middle.

I am still questioning my copyright idea. Most likely it will be at the bottom.

I already have a plan for the gradients. My biggest concern is the copyrights.

 I do that along with adding my copyright to the top. The last thing I would want to do with my hard worked skins is play around with the copyright. I hate it when people removed it.

We got to think of a fool proof way to have copyrights on a skin without being removed.

Exactly, Invisionfree needs a way that copyright cannot be removed. Soooo....any volunteers?

Not even the IF copyright.
Except for enforcing the TOS, that is.
And if people wouldn't add obnoxious copyrights, most people wouldn't try to remove them.
If you comment it out, you eliminate almost all of the people who would try to remove your copyright, and you'd only be left with the few weirdos who would want to remove the comments so they could claim they made the skin or code themselves.

I realize a lot of people use their copyrights as forced advertising, but that's really pretty lame if you need to force your advertising on people.
If your skins or codes are good enough, the people using them will probably tell others where they got them without you making them do it.
You could be polite and add a statement in your skin or code post, wherever you post them, saying how much you'd appreciate it if they put a link to your site somewhere on theirs, as a thank you for using your skin or code.
The universe will hug you for it.

I understand that. One of my ideas is just to say (at bottom of forum)

But one thing i hate is when people dont use a header and body code that comes with a skin. If you want it wider, find a new skin.

So that is one reason why i dont put my copyright in the Header and body. I put it in the CSS because I know 100% the CSS will be used.

 If someone wants to claim the skin as their own they will just remove the copyright lol.
Two skins in differant widths, could work but you would have to resize one of the grads, as they may repeat?
