 Has anyone seen the film troy? i watched it last night and it is amazing, the best bit has to be when achillies stabs that matey in the shoulder and kills him.

 I'd give it a "meh" rating, it didn't seem that exciting.

All im wondering is if sean bean is going to be in a Odyssey movie as a "sequel" to troy.

 I loved the movie Troy. I watched it about three weeks ago. But it's deviates from the original myth in many ways, but I still liked it. The part in where Achilles' choice came up. This part was actually accurate to the original myth, in which Achilles' mother warns him that if he goes to Troy, his name will live forever but he will die. If he stays home, he will have a long and happy life but he will leave no footprints in history. Achilles chooses to go out with a blaze of glory and takes the path of going to Tory.

When I was watching the movie; some friends and I thought about this part, if you were given the same choice, what would you do? Go for a long happy, and calm life or write your name in the footprints of history and be remembered forever? Personally I'd like to go down with a blaze of glory.

It could have been better, But it wasn't a complete failure. I didn't like the casting.

 Didn't care much about the casting for Troy. The battle scenes and the special effects really makes you get into the action. And also, the movie is 2 hours and 56 minutes...afterwards, I thought it was only about 2 hours, but really it was almost 3 hours. How come I didn't feel this way with the Lord of the Rings?

I thought the Lord of the Rings would never end.

 Troy was a good movie. For those who say, or are thinking about pointing out the problems with the translation from book to film, remember, one went to see a movie, not a book.

King Aurther was horrid though.

 Troy was suprisingly good. Though I felt really bad for Hector. And I agree about it not being true to the myth. That is probably what killed it in the reviews. In fact that happens with a lot of movies. King Arthur and Catwoman were killed for not following the classic storyline. Movie Reviews must think it a sin to deviate from the classic storyline. Peter O'tule was great in Troy. Especially the end "Have you no honor?" :/
The real complaint I have is Paris. He really looked stupid. I can't remember the exact myth, but didn't Paris win Helen in a race with Aphrodite's help ? :/

Oh and I saw Arthur, It was...different. Good but different.

 I think he did; don't quite remember. I didn't read the whole Book, or see the movie. My lanague arts class for a week or so read a except from the book. I think starting with "the quarrel' and ending with hector getting kiled by Arch.
