 I'm downloading Trillan right now... I've tried it before and I didn't really like it since it takes away some of the features that the standalone services offer.

Is there anyway to edit it so that they change automagically? (same thing for others when I change my display name, but they only see the change after I login again)

Yeah same here too. No way to stop it that I know of, I think it's a common bug that happens to everyone :(

 I just can't stand Trillian... it's just so weird. And it takes away all the good features of the clients themselves. Just not for me.

 the base skin that comes with 3.1 is not good at all. definatly check out the SeTI skins or unique, or just anyones that are offered. Nykon v3 is really popular too. im sad because 3.0 and 3.1 wont let me run my azzaro anymore >.< it was sucha a good skin too >.<

I cant access the IF IRC room with Trilly. :no:  Am i doing something wrong or is it just me?  Does it even exist anymore?

Here is my trillian setup

Server Alias:irc.chat4all.org::6667
Then underneathe:irc.chat4all.org::6667

Where do I enter that? Do I have to have a plugin?

Anyways, I've been using TRillian Since It first came to be :D and I'e been pro ever since. I really don't know what I'd do without it. It's great just to have everything in one place.

Ok, it does have a few problems, but only with features I rarely use (Video chat mainly), and to be fair - they're pretty up to scratch at the mo.

If It wasnt for trillian, I'd be a gibbering wreck, I'd be having to run about 11 different messnengers (for all the different accounts) as I seperate my contacts for work, and play etc etc into different people.

Trill 3.1 doesnt Mix contact lists anymore :D which is a GREAT addition :D although to be fair... I've always had it set up to use different sections anyway, just so I can click and hide all the ork people and not have to think about them :D

I would reccomend anyojne to use it, and have gotten my gf using it - and she loves it just for the auto-replys (which everyone who talks to me finds annoying :D hehe)

I also find having the ability to group a set of contacts from different messnegers into one "meta contact"

It really helps with some people who just decide to use every form of messenger available under the sun... It means your list doesn't get as cluttered.

3.1 has some great additions, and is by far the best version yet, both usabilty wise and the fact it just plain loks damn good.

hehe :D It does take a bit of getting used to though if, like me, you dock it to one side of the desktop. I have it docked on the right, and everyone who uses my PC gets frustrated by it because it just pops up every time they try and go for a scrollbar, yet, I've been using it for ages, and can manage to get to a scrollbar perfectly everytime (except if I forget to change my mouse sensitivity down after playing a game - but hey - then it's justa click and a scroll away from normal)

I think I've rambled enough now :D

Trillian rocks, i dont use the IRC part, but for some reason i cant connect to my ICQ, but even though im not connected, after awhile it says im "away" :S

Anybody understand that?


Only thing i miss is being able to see whats being sent to me (icons) and not having the godly features of msn plus :'(
