All that means is that someone is using the password recovery feature on your account. Please ensure that your e-mail account password is difficult to guess, and any secret questions are also difficult to guess. This way, any potential crackers will have a very hard time getting your password.

Got that in my inbox recently, due to some fool I suspended that day thinking he could use his 1337 h4x0r ski||z to break into my account.

If your email account is secure, you have nothing to worry about.
If you happen to notice any members with the IP from the email, I'd keep an eye on them, or ban them if you know they're troublemakers, though different people can share IP's sometimes.

Of course they like it.
And they're quite jealous.
But that might not be why they tried to get your account.
We may never know..
You probably just said something to the same guy who tried to get mine, or some other silly person.

Oh no, its from this support forum, so knowing his IP address is practically useless for me, but if i would have known it was there i woulda kept it for the staff to compare.

But thats what confuses me the most, does someone really get off at stealing my account on a support forum? What am i supposed to do, be afraid to start a second account and tell an admin mine was hacked by "An Ub3r H4x0r" who pwned my account?

Seems someone needs a life....but he cant have mine

I really don't know. One thing's for sure, they really are sad and definately need to get a life

I always wondered that. So you got into someones account, big wow. It's not good at all.

They'd probably try to get you in trouble or something if they did, and lock you out of it.
Which wouldn't be a problem because we can just comapre the IP of troublesome posts to your original one or the IP on normal posts, and see if it's different (assuming you're not on an ISP that changes it).

Hmm, I can definately say i'm personally becoming more weary of these idiots, especially since this has happened to PhranK even.
Fortunately I upped the security on both my IFS and E-Mail account passwords

I always get those emails from people trying to steal my account. Do they really want my NASCAR avatar and the custom member title under that. If they want them then go find them. If they want my account they would have to take it from me. well off to check my email
