That there is some master overide code for the Admin CP that If staff use to shut forums down. Is this True... or is it more like you just delete the board data from the server.. |

Does it really matter. If there going to shut a board down their gonna shut it down. Though they don't do it unless there is a specific violation taking place or hasn't been dealt with by the admin. |

Thanks  I never would have guessed...on topic:personally to me thats just wierd...if it did exist...what would be the point? If your going to shut something down permenantly...delete it so it wont take up excess space. |

I don't think there's a backdoor as such but DuffMan owns IF and therefore has control over the boards including the databases (or however they are referred to - SQL or something?). I presume this grants him supreme control and the ability to delete boards at his pleasure (so to speak). |

well i mean they have to get in somehow and i know it isnt looking through the endless piles of data to find the board data he wants to close down XD. Just saying i know theres an easy way but if there is then they arent saying anything XD. |

I think having such a back door would be on the fringe of violating our privacy, just like we cant view users PMs on our boards, well not without hacking into their accounts. Still if DuffMan realy did want to get into our boards he has the files just a click away. |
