 I'm having a problem with my firefox web broswer. Everytime I go online (I have dail-up) my firefox window opens by itself and goes to ad site called freegayspace it think. Also a program called powerscan 1.1 pops up on my computer everytime I log on onto an account. I know this is not only happing to me because it is also happening to my cousin. Except that she uses IE and it comes up on IE and powerscan 1.1 also pops up on her computer. Is anyone else having the same problem? How do I fix it?

 i bet thats spyware/adware. scan your computer. that happened to me alot, and i wasnt even looking at that kinda stuff.

 You don't have to download anything to get it. Just visiting certain sites can give you spyware and adware.

If you're using IE, I suggest you ditch it and use another browser instead.

but you say FF goes to a site as soon as you connect to the internet.
scary.
FF shouldn't do stuff like that.
(guess its not perfect eighter)

use all the links phrank gave you, try a antivirus prog, if that won't help, reinstall FF.

and don't go to gayp0rnsites anymore :P :P

 Can't believe no one said this before.....

I don't exatcly know how, but i think in preferences you can change the home page, I suggest some place safe, like mozilla.com since firefox is mozilla. Or google :). Or wherever, just a place you know is safe.

 Yeah defintely spyware. More specifally a hijacking type spyware. It takes over your home page, hence the name hijacking it.
