I Would Like To Create An RPG

 Can anybody help me? I wan't to base it on Lord of The Rings and have some small HTML knowledge. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I can get the RPG working will get a reward:p

 to make a good RPG you are going to need some PHP knowledge as well as scripting...not just basic HTML.

 Um..Usally u need a team that u know in person...And...I think u should not if ur doing it to be popular....Cause my firned is making a PWNage rpg and it will Be UBER popular.....Hes taking a break from it now..I can ask him if he would help u want me to?

 right... My mods tend to launch Mmorpg's all the time, one is making one with the mirage source as we speak, another has plans of making a RPG with some program called Genesis 3-d.

we already have our own custom Ultima online shard on.

there are many clients you can use to create your own game

 I am also interested in trying to make my own RPG for my invision board. But I am a newbie to the whole process and I don't know much JS, but i am willing to learn it (that is why I am trying to make the RPG :P). One big question that I will start off with, sorry if it's really stupid lol, but how do I get something to display on a forum. Like with Inferno's RPG when you click on it, it displays your profile, then lists different sections to go to. I'm not really sure how to begin. I would rather talk to someone over MSN about this since it will be easier to explain things. My username is soccrguy23@mchsi.com please contact me there, or if you aren't able to just reply here.

 I'm makin an RPG in Flash, using Actionscript, something that I don't hear many people doing. Link is in my sig, if you want to try it. But that's another way of doing it.

 Hehe, I'm about to release a new version of mine, and good luck with yours, and this just proves how...popular (?) ... Flash is for games :P

Games like on CrazyMonkeyGames and Newgrounds are done in Flash though.

People don't do it because it can't be done well. For a good rpg the amount of AS it would require to keep track of all the stats would be so huge it would take decades to make. It is alot faster if you use Java,JS, or php

 Yeah. I found that out yesterday :) It's why I then stopped my RPG cos I realised how impossible it was heh.

But I've now started another project which I know definitely can work...Windoze xD Irrational :)
