WARNING: GMAIL USERS I couple days ago a got an email from helpdesk.gmessenger@gmail.com saying about hw gmail messenger was already out (which it's not). It provided links to the "download". Whatever you do DO NOT click on the links, it's a virus. I tested it out on my computer for the fun of it and it screws up your sound system. The subject of the email is "Google - Gmail Messenger For WINDOWS", the writer is Edvard Hawking, and the file name is gmessenger.rar. Whatever you do just don't click on the links. Just DELETE it right away!! |

cool thanks for that. I have a question about Gmail. Is there anyways to decrease the amount of days that the trash is cleared out? I use mine through my Outlook and it builds up very quickly. but the thrash is only cleared out every 30 days. |

Never belief what is said in an email. Not that it isn't a good idea to do those kinda things trough mail, but its such a good idea that its been abused more than this board. And all the email providers know that. If they have something for you to download it will either come on the front page, or with your emails but probably below it. - Burner |

helpdesk.gmessenger@gmail.com![]() That's just the most rediculous address to use, you'd have to be a complete muppet to fall for it especially since Google's contact page shows the e-mail addresses for contacting Google end in Google.com, not Gmail.com. ![]() I think something similar happened with MSN some time ago (and pops up from time to time), some idiot claiming to be from MSN when he was using a hotmail.com address. How do people fall for such obviously false things? >_< My brother did so that says a lot. ![]() Nice to warn us Joe if I see it I'll report it as spam. The more people who do that, the safer it will be as eventually (if it's not already) it will be classed as spam and thus avoid inboxes and I never dare wander near my spam box.

Do you want one? I have a few invites. PM Me if you do. I dont know how long it will be untill they allow people to get one. Just had a look at my gmail account, and I dont think they will be offering accounts anytime soon. I have 50 invites sitting there. |
