If the Support staff are upset, they can bring this up with Admin.

Duffman is nice enough (and smart enough) to consult with current staff before adding anyone. :)

@Mez: I was fairly new when I was promoted as well, so it got some people upset and even threatening/promising to leave, as well as others pestering me about how to get on staff or whatever, but it all blew over soon enough.
I was concerned about it at first, but some comments from the other staff really helped, especially this one:

It happens every time someone gets promoted. Ignore anyone who tries to hassle you (if they continue, let me know so they can be dealt with). Their actions prove exactly why they are not on the support team.

I do not know the story on [removed], but if it is related then it certainly makes me feel better that he was not promoted. He has been around long enough that he should know promotions come in batches and ironically he was on my list to be in this batch or the next.


So, welcome, and congratulations.
And remember, even multimods spam up your post count in the tickets forums for whatever reason, so if you do some for a couple weeks, maybe Brian can go back to being the low-count king. :angel:
