Just curious, how does the hit counter for InvisionFree's Board Directory work? I mean, do you get one click per computer, one click per day, etc.

I'd like to hear an answer from someone who knows =D

nope just one click per computer. Say I went to the IF directoy and found this board. the hits was 32,232 I clicked the link the number woudl then be 32,233. That won't go up any higher for this computer.

If that's wrong seth correct me.

no I am pretty sure its both, but then I could be wrong
(if its both then even if you delete the cookies the IP will stop it from counting and if your IP changes then the cookies stop it)

So, you could still get hits on your forum using proxies. Hmm...

Any form of cheating to increase hits could result in the hit stats being reset for that particular board in the directory if found out.

I believe that the Directory in IF2 will be more capable of preventing cheating.
