 As a free forum hoster, I think Invisionfree is probably the best.

As a general all forum softwares are fair game...not so hot.

If you absolutely cannot get your own server, this is the best place to get a free forum. But, if you somehow or has actually gotten a server, there ARE better products to use as a forum.

Personally, I like MyBB to use on my server. But, I still have a soft spot for IPB related products/services.
