 I know some staff don't want people PM'ing them unless they have to, but I don't care if people PM me just to talk.
But if they have nothing interesting to talk about, they shouldn't be PM'ing me just because they're bored or whatever, and they can't get upset if I don't respond, because I may be too busy or the PM might get buried.
I just dumped 887 PM's on Seth's head in the staff lounge, but there's more where that came from.
I do put annoying people on ignore as well, and generally ignore support requests or reply with just a link to the board rules.

There is some truth in Auron's post. If you harass us at all, via PM or e-mail or even through MSN or something, you could find yourself suspended or worse. :r
Though I think that's rare. :P

Note: there is a difference between PMing for a reason and harassing, I'm not saying PMing us is considered harassment.

 Note: When some of the Staff said they were fine with PMs, that is NOT Support PMs. Someone just PMed me with support and afterwards said that another Staff member told them too. :blink:
Maybe they misunderstood something from this topic, who knows, but I just want to mention it again (for some reason).

I don't mind your random PMs that have to do with absoloutely nothing, but just no Support (to any staff).

 Yeh, i don't mind PM's that are geniunely amusing or a chat, or are pointing out some topic that needs to be moved somewhere.

It is the support PM's that get me. I probably wouldn't be so fussed, it is just that i honestly have no supprt abilities in me whatsoever... i mean, i am useless when it comes to InvisionFree Boards!.

 Same here. I don't do support. I am a MODERATOR. All PURPLES are MODERATORS. We close and move topics. We don't give support. For some there is a good reason why. Also unlike the others, unless I tell you to, I hate general chit chat person messages. I get enough forwarded pms and game related pms that I run. Don't need any more useless messages.

 I'm like Yoda (:wub:), only selected people can send me chats or silly stuff. :r PMs about topics that require moderating are fine, support is a definate no-no and chatting is reserved for people I like and they know who they are. :)
I'm picky, I know, but that's because I don't want people PMing me to kiss up to me and I can tell instantly. :lol:

My reason is boredom. :angel:

Plus, scanning through these questions looking for rule breakers/new candidates for the Support (Restricted) group or marking topics as Solved, I mean, I may as well. :arr: It makes me look like I'm doing something.

Although, all blues can be considered supporters and moderators, kind of. Since they can pretty much do what we do, and will on many occasions (ex. advertising topic).

Heh, w00t, we get the slackers job.
