Which it better; invision power board or invisionfree

Is this the right place to post this It depends completely on what you need from a board and what resources you have. If you require odd hacks or complex skin editing IPB may be better. If you are looking for ease of setup and use and some extra features IF might be the way to go. You won't get a truthful direct answer. Its up to you to decide what you need. Personally I think IF has more advantages in many cases and thats why IF is the way it is, but that is just my opinion.

Anything from a little tweak like colored names in the topics, to a useful feature like marking PMs you have replied to, to bug fixes that IPB has yet to release, to speed increases.

With IPB, you don't have to stick to one theme, but you can have like over 25 if you wanted :o . I agree with Duffman that IF is ALOT easier as it doesn't need as much attention as IPB. But IPB is alot flexible with the boards as you can edit something right down to the word of a page. So instead of like: "Logged in as: Username", I could make it say: "The stupid idiot logged in is: Username". So here is my conclusion on the 2. Invisionfree- Fast, reliable, easy, and fun to use! Great for beginners and intermediate users! Invisionboard- Fast, flexible, not so easy, need to know what you're doing then it's fun! I don't recommend IPB for beginning users as they always PM through my forum asking me what to do with this, that. Great with Intermediate, Advance users.
