Does anyone keep backups of their board's CSS and wrappers? I do. I think it's best if you do it because if a cracker cracks your board you can restore it with little effort; then change your password so they can't do it again. The cracker will have wasted their time!

Well although this is a good precaution I don't do it because: I have a good password I'm the only admin Staff can always restore my forum if it is cracked However I do recommend anyone and everyone to do it even if I don't |

I do too, I didn even before it was suggested to for the IF 2.0 upgrade, in case another admin on my site screwed something up. It's a habit now too, whenever I change something and get it right, I automatically open up the notepad file and copy paste everything all over again |

There's nothing of great importance in the board wrappers or CSS on the board I admin  everything is default except for the skin and that can easily be found.  I think our ROOT keeps a backup for when the update occurs but we (the other admins) don't back them up since nothing else has changed. We do back up other things though. I say back up your board wrappers, CSS and whatnot if you have added in codes in case an admin accidentally deletes them or something. I think with restoration the wrappers and whatnot are also restored. Isn't it similar to restoring your computer to a certain date? :unsure: *Jay pokes DuffMan

humm, I have the css saved in notepad because I made the skin for my board... I don't mind about the wrappers though, nothing I can't recreate there  in any case, it only takes like 5 seconds to backup, so why not do it... |

I sometimes do that to my board wrappers. But only to tmy board wrappers, and images. Not my CSS, I cane asily get it from SZ. *Zero Resistance pokes Jay with a stick for poking DuffMan |
