Actually, there was ONE ad I clicked on about an online Rpg (I'm a sucker for those); ended up not liking it anyway.

I see them but because they are never related to my board I don't care for them. I've seen ads on an s9 board of mine who's key word was "s9". It doesn't take a lot to realise that that won't bring up ads of any use to anyone. Why is it in the keywords list?

Was it the AQ one? I clicked on that after PhranK mentioned it somewhere... :phrank:

I've been making a point of clicking on at least one ad a day on my forum lately, just to check stuff out and help IF.

;) Thats only if you want to notice them, if you don't want to notice them, you don't and they just become part of the background.

But the ads are important to InvisionFree as they generate income at a guess, I didn't read any documents that said Confidential :r

Also, some people might want to use them for some unknown reason, they are quite usfull if you look at ads for ciertain things other wise they are pointless.

I've been making a point of clicking on at least one ad a day on my forum lately, just to check stuff out and help IF.

Clicking them dosn't help IF, it hurts the company that made the ad. Google gives IF a certain amount of money that dosn't change. When you click the ad IF dosn't get a bonus, the comany that put it there pays.

Actually, from what DuffMan says, IF does get paid per click. ;)
Though there might also be a fixed rate as well.
However, Google's policy considers clicking on the ads just to generate money for IF as cheating, so don't do it.
Just click on ones you're genuinely interested in or intrigued by or whatever. :)

That's why I regret it, as when I used to see interesting ads I would click them... ;)

the Google ad is skinnier than the copyright line. If skins were properly measured, the google ad wouldn't stretch anyone's page.

There's nothing I hate more than seeing the "Inc." part of the copyright relegated to the second line. <_<

On my forum, some of the ads are actually quite interesting. There's some ads about travel plans for the 2006 Winter Olympics, video tapes about sporting events.
I guess I can consider myself lucky lol.

Yeah, it was.

Not a bad Rpg, but they make you pay for spaecial features, (most of which were actually very basic things that were annoying to play without) which I find sleezy. <_<

Theoretically, the more interesting stuff you talk about, the more interesting your ads should be.
Theoretically.

Running servers and developing a game for a bunch of addicts to play for hours a day costs money, and AQ doesn't plaster your screen with obnoxious, flashing ad banners like RS and some others do to pay the bills.
Still beats solitaire.
