True, I didnt consider the database aspect. However, I think C++ is better for most things. It has to be Borland's C++ builder...not MS Visual C++ tho. Borland's product is much better in my opinion. Again, I don't mean to offend if anybody likes MS's compiler. |

Actionscript is Macromedia Flash's programing language. Any flash game was made with actionscripting. |

I know HTML, XHTML and JS. But all I know in JS is how to do mouseovers and mouseouts, so I didn't pick that one. Does anyone know where I could learn more JS? |

http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/progr.../tutorial1.html I'm looking trough that one right now ![]() And there is an advance JS tutorial there two, so I think there is enough to learn there. That guide is pretty practical, what I like. (Can't stand those theoretical tutorials) |

I can't either! I tried the ones at W3Schools but they're not my sort of tutorial (theoretical). Edit: Thanks Qj! It's really useful!

I know sod all compared to you lot... All I know is XHTML, CSS, and a teeny bit of C# ((.NET) - when playing around with it, not really doing anything useful ( )), that's about it. PHP utterly confuses me for some reason, the only time i've really come across that is when trying to install scripts that hate me. MySQL similarly. I suck at JS too pretty much, although I kindof learned a few little things. I have no clue what Actionscript is. Well I do, as i've read Das Ein's description and I did hear about it before |

The maker of Game Maker probably made it just for the game maker and didn't care how hard it was, just as long as it functioned. |

I'm an old man that's just starting to get into XML. Could any of you point an idiot towards a tutorial of any of the others? It's almost sad that that I've learned more about computers over the last 6 months than I learned in my entire life. And I haven't even scratched the surface it seems. All because I joined a small NBA chat forum and got introduced to InvisionFree.

Nope, mySQL is not the same as, or part of PHP. You can use mySQL and PHP together, but independently they are different things. |
