I would suggest Support Assistant (or moderators) on the support section for obligation to fill the support topics and moderate the forum (closing the solved topics). This may also stop double posts and complains of people not getting their support fillled. This can be the same to the other supports (skins, domain, etc.). My 2nd suggestion is to clean up the support sections. By making a sub forum and multi-mods to move the solved support to the sub category. Support assistants should be able to use the multi-mod if this would be taken. |

But they do mostly the support ticket. Plus, it'll help the GST being less busy. |

Yes it is, however the IF Support Team surely have a lot of work on their hands, and I assume focus on Support Tickets with the exception of certain staff members who like to work in the public boards only. As for my opinion, I agree with this suggestion. In my opinion doing so would allow the staff to focus more on Support Tickets and the forum moderator(s) for the public board(s) could handle the public board(s) to the best of their abilities. And lastly, as for the Support Forum clean-up, I'm fairly sure that this will be done with the release of InvisionFree version 2. Ali |

It would be easier to add more support staff members than an entire new team. Why? Because either way we need to find people. Finding an entire team of at least 3-5 would be difficult and it would be silly to create a whole new team with only one person on it. Adding one or two to Support every so often, like we do now, is much easier becuase we promote people who can do the job rather than promote out of necessity. ![]() And adding in a new team won't do anything about double posting, complaints, etc because no matter how many staff we have there will always be hundreds of members asking questions, people racing to answer them, etc. Nothing can stop that. :/ We'd require hundreds of staff in order to ensure every single questions was answered correctly, properly and by a staff member. Care to explain where we find these people? I'd say we should focus on adding suitable candidates when we find them rather than making teams for seperate divisions that way we don't end up bumping up just anyone. And at the end of the day that's the hardest part: finding people who can do the job. Not easy. And the forums are indeed due a clean up after/during the upgrade. I hope I'm on holiday come that time.

That's the real reason DuffMan won't give a specific time for IF 2.0's release. He's afraid we'd all plan our vacations to conveniently be absent. I see no reason to have any of this. We deal with it quite well already. For the most part, the only people complaining or even unsatisfied are those who would be that way regardless, unless their problems were solved immediately, and that's unrealistic no matter how large the staff. |

But you can take 'vactions' when ever you want. Either turn off the computer, or signout. I am in agree ment with Jay here, making a new team for this seems a bit over kill. Just promote new members when needed. |

I'll have to agree with Jay and PhranK here. We deal with it fine IMO, usually people get thier answer, as there's always some 'support volunteer' which will somehow know the answer and respond, even though there might be 60 pointless/stupid/wrong/spam/irritating replies before it. And there isn't much moderating like marking topics as solved to do there really. It would be really pointless making another team to do this IMO :/ |
