How big can an IF site be?; And what would happen if it got too big?

 Title really say is all, but lets say that some theorhetical board had like 100,000,000 members a 700,000,000 post could it really get that big. I'd just kinda like to know the limits of the servers etc. :(

 ok also lets add about 2,000,000 posted images all this takes up lots of space i am sure there is a limit somewhere along the lines think about if there were no limit to server capacity they wouldnt need to keep opening new servers.

 Upload attachtments are limited to 16mb unless you get Premium Services.

However posts and members can grow as much as they want, it won't effect your board costing anything extra.

 so what would happen if you reached that limit of 16 MB then what if you needed more would IF just say too bad or what.

So premium services offers more image/graphics space.

Im also curious as to what happens when we reach the limit though, im pretty sure you get some sort of warning in the ACP about it, and all it means is there would be no more uploaded images, pips, emotes, or anything to the board itself.

And if and when it happens, just go into your file manager and delete the old stuff.

Ps. Dont give all your members the ability to attach images or files, thats just asking for hitting the 16MB mark :ermm:

 also, make sure, if you make an upload section, only you can upload, so that you can filter stuff.

 Nothing bad happens if you hit the limit; you just can't upload any more. And you can always delete stuff.
