Well, since so many people are talking about music lately, I was reminded that I'd been meaning to ask for help with finding the lyrics for a particular song, since I haven't had any luck on my own. I'm not sure if the lyrics simply aren't available online, of if it's just me not being able to find them because they're on some site I can't read or what. The song is "Stille Nachte", by a collaborative band named FleckFumie. If anybody happens to have the CD with the lyrics and could share them and/or translate them, or could manage to track them down online, that would be ideal. Failing that, if somebody wouldn't mind checking out/downloading the song and figuring the lyrics out and either posting them or translating them and posting them, I'd really appreciate it. The song and some info about the band and links to more info and songs can be found here.

Strange music taste (then again I can't comment as I haven't listened to it yet)... ![]() I'll have a look. ![]() Edit: I've run out of ideas of searches and still nothing... I think someone who speaks the language should just download it and translate it...

Strange? Why is that? You want strange? Try Frank Zappa's "It Can't Happen Here" (one of my favorites) Lyrics here. ![]() I also like good death metal, traditional Japanese flute music, and lots in between. ![]() By the way, I first heard that FleckFumie song on Limbik Frequencies. Good stuff there.

Are they? As in the members of the band? No, apparently not. Says one is British and the other, Japanese, though both live in Berlin, or did.. or.. something. |

This may be useful, P.
Is the email addy, so although I can't find the lyrics, you can always email em. If they send you the lyrics in a crazy language, BabelFish is your friend. Any good? |

There's absolutely nothing about them on the internet except this: Bubble Core is my favorite label today. Thank you for introducing me to Fleckfumie. Fumie is from Japan, Fleck is from the UK, and Fleckfumie is based in Germany. Got that? Good. This unlikely duo seems to be a good match-up. The airy vocals sound very nice against an electronic backdrop that incorporates cross-cultural influences in inventive new ways. and.... Fleckfumie is made up of a British instrumentalist/programmer and a Japanese vocalist. They are known for their ingenious fusion of silky and delicate electronic sound and oriental-flavored female vocal lines. This is really a record that’s worth sinking into, and sink you will, slowly, deeply, comfortably... even tried to search google in german and nada.

http://www.fleckfumie.com But yeah, it doesn't have much info. I did see the mailto address and I've been considering that. I'm sort of used to not getting responses from addresses listed on band/celebrity sites, so I generally don't bother. Plus, I figured with our wide range of members, I could maybe get help faster here. |

So PhranK, you like good death metal. Ever heard of a DC based band called "Reflux"? Great band, and really unknown right now. You should listen to some of the songs they have out, I'd personally recommend 'Single File To Bliss'. If you watch the video for it, wait for the first solo (1:48 into it - I'm listening to it now. ) the guitarist is great.I just started getting into them a few weeks ago. |

Nice song ![]() I hardly understand the lyrics though ![]() Stille Nächte = Silent nights To start with... And I could discern something like this (my German sucks, but I can understand it a bit, it's somewhat like Dutch.... a bit): "Ich spring von steile Küste im blauen ..." I jump from steep shores into blue... Penumbra is German, she could help, but she hasn't been here for a while ![]() *Stefan plays it again |
