In the U.K you need to be at least 17 years old before you can start to learn to drive legally..... |

Ah teen driving. Making left hand turns from the right lane, speeding, passing over the double solid line at night on a motorcycle. You gotta love the stupidity and immaturity of teen drivers. Even after somebody dies they still don't learn. >_< |

I know PhranK, but we cant just say that al 16 year olds can drive, thats not safe ethier... the fact is that no matter what the age limit is, ther is no way we can make things perfect, and no way everyone can be happy... So the situation comes down to ensuring the safetly of millions of people... So we need to make a driving age that gives everyone that safety, just becuase a 15 year is quite capable to drive and that can be the case, it dosent mean he should be on the road with another 15 year old who is not capable to drive... that puts his life in danger, personally i think nation wide (even tho its not possible) the Learners Permit should be 16, and driving license age should be 18, or the Learners Permit should be 14-15, and driving license age should be 16, expireince is the key...

im 17 atm and i am honestly one of the best drivers i know. i feel no urge to go fast seeing as it supplies no outcome whatsoever. since on a normally marked 35mph road. most people go 40 which i do to stay with them and i hit all greens which gets me there just as fast as the guy doin 55 who hits every red. |

Did you actually read my post? Your reply makes no sense, and has nothing to do with what I said.
Yes, it does, which is why your idea is the problem, and mine is the solution.

>_< Heh :$ i went on a rant... You are right, but such ability based laws are too loose, and leave to many loopholes for government to pass, and with these ability based laws you get into different social classes, a test in Georgia (no offense) is going to be different from a test in Massacussetts (and no bonus for northern states ethier) you have to keep it an age requirement because it is neutral, and is a variable that will never change... but you are right, age is in no way a way to judge driving ability, and that was a strange sentance, sorry for bad grammer... |
