After the minor FUBAR SNAFU this morning (which continues to this moment) I decided to start a thread about all the server threads that've been cropping up all over the place, even outside of the Support Forum. When I first got on here to see if anyone else had said anything on the subject, I found two threads - both started at exactly 8:33 by two different people. Since then, about six or more threads have popped up, all saying the same thing. Even now, there's one or two threads about the server's major malfunction that're new enough not to have been closed yet. I don't get it. :/ I posted a couple of times, trying to calm people down; so did hollyhotlips, and a few others just started flipping out at anyone that started a thread instead of leaving it for a staff member to deal with. I mean, after hollyhotlips pointed to the "Server Threads" pinned topic (which got bumped today, I noticed), I wouldn't touch one of those topics with a sixteen-foot pike! Why doesn't anyone seem to notice all the other closed topics relating to the subject? Anyone else have comments on this insane little phenomenon? I blame it on a mixture of ignorance/laziness. We're all guilty of it from time to time, but really! It's like a pandemic here, y'all! It's led me to understand why the rules here are somewhat strictly enforced - on a large board like this, they have to be to keep things under control. Yes, I think too much.

I have a new comment on this new phonemena (sp) ITS DRIVING ME MAD. Because i cant get into my board. And it seems NO staff at all have posted so we dont really have updates on the s10 server problem

i was one of the two original posters an di will take claim on my part and appologize for sparking this server down craze...i did start however telling ppl to stop complaining about it and even gave a place for them to chat about it AWAY from IF so as not to get them in trouble but no one but a few took heed to my suggestion Duh, advertising. :rolleyes: I hope n e 1 who now sees this will complain here instead of on IF |

Well . . . if you hadn't started it, I'm sure someone else would have. After all, all those new topic starters didn't notice your thread, or the pinned "server thread" topic. Man, I STILL can't believe I didn't see that until it was pointed out . . . Hear, hear! Providing the link to that chatroom was a good idea, by the way. Has it been getting much activity? EDIT: A spelling error. ANOTHER EDIT: Geez . . . there's another "server connection severed" topic in the Gen. Chat forum already, just since I started this topic. |

This s10 server problem is kinda annoying but I got other things to do so I'm not gonna blow a fuse I know I hate this problem but people haves lives outside forums so go live it unitl they're up and running again |

Yep, hate server topics. Ignorance is bliss huh? Heh, wait till you ignore us. We do hate people posting the same thing one after another without bothering to check (pinned no less!), it's the same with general support, too lazy to look over a few pages to find their answer. Or to order support by topic title and see if someone might have asked it.  But the server topics are tedious considering we know the problems generally before others, and certainly Duff knows.
