 1) It's pointless really.

2) It could be indirect advertising. Saying something like "I'm number blah of the blah category" is basically advertising your board without providing a link as people can then go into the directory, find your board and voila! So I'd assume that's probably the finer point. Or at least it would have been if I'd trashed it, can't speak for whoever did it but yeah I'd assume it was that. :unsure:
