 IF wants to show new users what the default skin of the invisionfree forum would look like. If invisionfree made a custom skin and not make it default for all other boards, a new user who saw this forum could like IF's custom skin and then register a board only to be disappointed by the default skin...

 The Default Theme could be a kind of new fad.

*Dark Kam thinks of "IF Green", "IF Black", etc.

I wonder why nobody has bothered to MAKE them? XD

 There are all sorts of color variations of the default theme available.

I don't think the default is horrible, but it's much too bright for me.
This forum has been left mostly unmodified as a sort of demo, as noted.
But I think IF 2.0 is going to have a new default, which will also likely be left unchanged here at this forum.
And since we should have a new skinning system, I'm hoping we'll have at least a light and dark default theme to choose from.
Otherwise I might shave off my eyebrows in protest. :/

 I like this skin. Its nice and easy to read. I think people do not like it because it is used heaps.. ie: the defalt skin, the support forum etc.. and we arer all abit over it.

But all in all, its really nice! :lol:

 Personally, I don't think the skin is too bright at all.

A support forum is for easy and efficient contact and answers, not flamboyant style. :eh:

The entire purpose of this forum is to make it easy to read for everyone, and this skin does the trick. It also ensures that the general opinion of the skin stays positive; for example, if IFS had a black and green skin, many people would love it, but many would hate it as well. I prsonall do not want the skin changed here. There is really no "theme" to follow, and this skin's simplicity suits the forum fine.

Although, I am curious to see what the new default looks like. :wub:
