Pretty useless. If you can't manage to not hit the caps lock key while typing, you should learn to type, not disable the caps lock key. And why on Earth would you ever want to disable the Windows key? That makes no sense at all. Especially since it's such a useful feature. And why would you want to do anything to the num lock or scroll lock keys? The only halfway decent idea is to make the caps lock key beep when pressed. They should have also just explained how to do it, rather than making self-extracting registery editors to do it for you. Sillyness. |

I have to agree. I am clumsy, but not that clumsy. :/ Besides, CAPS LOCK IS USEFUL SOMETIMES, AND I WOULD NEVER HIT IT ON ACCIDENT. ------------------- It's the incredible changing sig! That's right, I put whatever I want in it. Got a problem? |

There are times when I like to use caps lock as well, too. For example, when I am shouting at someone, or putting special "emphasis" on a sentence or two, since I am a very slow typist ( :'( ), I find it to be convenient. -------------------- Good day to you, sir. Fancy a cupcake? |

Disabling the windows key might be a charm for gamers. Since, the FPS game I play, the buttons to press in order for my person to run is "W + ALT" and as all you know, ALT is right next to the windows key. If I press it, my game will minimize and show me to my desktop with my start program opened and my guy vunerable to attacks... I never use cap-lock, since I was thought to type the right way so I just use the shift key if I WANT SOMETHING TO BE CAPS. |

Interesting. Though I'd probably just reconfigure the run command or pop off the Windows key and stick it back on when I'm done playing.

Yes thats the reason for removing the windows key. Many have said that and I know what your saying. You miss your key and hit that the game shrinks down but does not pause and then all your men die!
That wont happen. Its a self editing registry file so its not going to happen. And you can remove it at any time and add it at anytime. Very simple and very easy. |
