Hmm.
Actually:

Quote:

Sites are free with no ads (except the Freewebs FreeBar at the bottom) for 45 days.

After that, an advertising banner about 1 inch tall will automatically appear at the top of each page. Furthermore, we remain committed to maintaining the integrity we have and guarantee that ad content will be appropriate for all audiences.

So my test site won't show it.
And I guess that's been added since I opened all my real ones, and they apparently don't apply the rule to sites made before it was added?

It talks about it at the site and explains that your site can be shut down if you remove it. :r

Here's the main page of one of my sites I've had with them for ages that's never had an ad on it.

Hmm.
I see the counter's not working.
Oh well.
And nobody lecture me about the crappy coding, because 1) I did it a long time ago, and 2) I just don't give a mullet :phrank:

Inside the table cell. So the site will be not too small, it is just one line of text, you may use validator to
check it out if you are not sure it is 100% correct code. ;-)
Anyway, you don't have to quote whole that code...*sigh*

Regards.

Just because it validates doesn't mean it's the best way to create the page. There are other ways you could have done that without line breaks through CSS.

I'd recommend Freewebs. It has an easy mode for novices and an advanced mode. No ads, although they require you to leave the copyright in.

I'd reccoment waashing you're mouth out with soap for saying that.

Freewebs is terrible, please don't use them, if you want a successful site, that is.

I love people who make statements without backing them up in any way whatsoever.

If you'd explain why you feel that way and give some details, your post might actually be helpful.

Well some free webhosts (like angel towns) put the ads in your website control panel rather than as banners or popups on the actual site. Meaning no ads on your site. So I'd say the answer is 'yes, but...'

ugh, it seems Angel Towns just decided to delete all their free sites without any warning... now that makes me feel really good for recommending them >_<

Phrank, that pic on your website is hillarious *giggles*

Here is a test Freewebs web site that I threw together about three months ago to test Freewebs for a friend who wanted a "free" hosted website and did not want to learn any html.
Used one of their site templates and their web building tools.
No ad banner at top, so they must not have added them to the sites built before some cutoff date.

Seemed to be an OK place to build a simple site for no cost.

Check it out if you like.
