Has IF ever recovered a board and there total posts? I know it costs money, but are they usually successful on it?

Yes we can recover the vast majority of boards no matter what the problem was.
Many of the restores are free also.

Nope. It depends on how long the restore takes. We try to do most restores for free.

Does everything you've worked on SINCE the time of deletion get ereased when it gets restored, like how EXP lowers when a MMORPG gets rolled back because of errors? Or do the posts just come back to whatever forum they were in before they were deleted, affecting no newer topics whatsoever?

Restores are not dependent on how long ago the data was lost or originally made.
Your board is not reset to an earlier period, so you would get to keep new posts and stats and regain your old data.
