PHP File Viewing; Help Please...

Alright. Well, I've got this page on my site, and it's a template. It has a main section, where all the information is stored, and then the menu where the links are. Now, I've seen this done before, but what I need is a PHP script that lets you view the same page, but differnet information in the main content box. The address bar would look like:

/index.php?file=filehere.html
and if I were to click a link to another file, it would be:
/index.php?file=anotherfilehere.html


If anyone could help me, I would really appriciate it. I'm pretty much a n00b to PHP.
