 I managed to stupidly delete two folders on my desktop, a "school," and "other" folder yestarday (I believe it was yestarday). I emptied my recycling bin. I had a number of files on my desktop, and got them by mistake and have just noticed now.

Is there some way to recover them? Everything I found on Google is either very hard to understand, or performs a critical error once it starts to look for deleted files.

I have a hard copy of everything in the school folder... somewhere, I believe, but the other folder contains a number of things that I really would not like to lose, like the PSD for my signature. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

@Gogf: Try PC Inspector File Recovery.. Its freeware and does an okay job.. :)

I've managed to recover most of what I lost (I think I may have permanently lost my signature PSD, along with a few other things, I'll keeping looking though).

 I'm terribly sorry to double post, but I think if I don't, people will have already read the last post, and this one will get no replies. Again, sorry.

Many of the files I managed to get (actually very few, missing the more recent stuff) are in some sort of language that doesn't work well with word. Any chance of a way to recover them?

This is horrible :'(.
