haven't tried otherse but in diablo 2 LOD I get wavy lines appearing on any screen within the entire game, on any res except when I am in the game (in a town such as Lut_Glodin, or The fortress (act 4)) on the lowest possible res (everything is very near ech other). Any help? someone else (IM) suggested a vid problem, and changeing someting:

in the diablo 2 config, which is selected, 3D or 2D
(person above that told me)

would that be in the diablo 2 folder (where the rest of the files are) and run the video test and change the 3d to 2d?

Try changing 3d to 2d and vice versa or get a new video card/monitor.

Where the heck do I change that? in the video test thing, or some other place.

No clue what you're talking about. D2 works fine for me and I have XP. Sounds like your video card is getting old or something.

didn't seem to be that. was the screen refreash rate. I made a topic at the Diablo 2 LOD forums at Gamefaqs.com. Someone replied and told me:

Try playing in a window by adding -w to your shortcut

but really try turning up your refresh rate on your monitor.

start>control panel>display>settings tab>advanced>monitor> turn that up as high as it will go and make sure the "do not display refresh rates that this monitor can not display" IS checked.

Good luck

That helped. I may have to play with a window open instead of the whole screen but I don't see the lines anymore.

Uh, get a new monitor or a better video card?

Guess Zero was a little[/b] right ;)

Anyways, seems as though you've solved it now!
