Hi, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. Someone can move it if it is... Anyway, I've just come across a board that is using a skin I made. I never posted the style sheet for this skin on any site. That board is using it, and the admins have claimed they made it. It used to be the skin of the site I have now, but I took it down. Unfortunately, I don't have a testboard for it either. The only proof I have that it's mine is the word of all of my members. Removed That's the board that's using my skin. That's my background and those are my bars. I told them to take it down because it's against any TOS, but they called me petty for even bringing it up. Is there anything that can be done? |

But will it be considered? Even if I don't have a test board for the skin? Editted to add: I'm even more upset that they butchered the skin and made it look like crap...

Well, judging by their source code and layout, they don't have much of a clue what they're doing, so it's pretty clear they didn't make the skin. And if you've used it previously, I would think there'd be a record of that in the database, though I'm not really sure how such things work. And if you can give any links to topics or PM's where they admit they stole it and call you petty or whatever, that would probably help too. |

Yeah, I've used it previously. If there really is a way of tracking it, that would come in handy. I'll look into that. They haven't admitted they stole anything yet. The root admin isn't online. There are posts where the members tell the admin that he did a great job with the skin, and he thanks them. The person who called me petty for bringing it up is not an admin, unfortunately. It's all there, if you look under Witch Weekly, in a topic called My Skin, I told them the skin was stolen. I can't believe they didn't even credit me. I just hope this report will be considered. I suppose I should have made one of those test boards for the skin. I just didn't post it up on IfSkinZone, so I didn't think it would ever be necessary. Anyway, thanks for your help. I'm going to give them an hour or so, see if the root admin does anything. If not then I'll go along with the report. |

Okay, hopefully another staff member will see this. My question is regarding something similiar, so I didn't see it necessary to start a new topic. I wanted to report another site that's using my graphics, without creditting me, and even without permission - but when I filled out a report, I was e-mailed back with a note that said I have to go through the copyright infringement claim. Is it really necessary to go through all of that because some admin took a few graphics of mine? Isn't there something simpler I can do? |

Contact the admin of the board which is using your graphics and ask them to remove it. |

I've done that.. Now they have me creditted, but it's all the way down, and you have to click on some click for the copyright to pop up... *:/* I guess nothing can be done. Nevermind. |
