No, that would just be a directory. I believe add on domains are seperate domains directed at the same server. So basically multiple domains for the same site. |

Redirect Domains are domains that point to another site. for instance: http://domain.com <--- main site http://domain-two.com <--- redirects to http://domain.com An Addon Domain is where you have http://domain.com <--- main site http://domain-two.com <--- it's own individual site, but is actually http://domain.com/domain-two/ however, it is independant from http://domain.com other than the fact that it is hosted on http://domain.com. You get a seperate Control Panel, and there is no reference to http://domain.com i think. |

if you host with mobileringz maelroth, you can in a way make up a hosting service, because it lets you creat bulletin boards in your cpanel, and it goes under your original hosted name, its rather ok, but if you want proper hosting you will have to pay for it. |

An Addon Domain IS: A domain which you have bought. Example. You have a domain - www.mykewlsite.com - and you like it, and your cPanel X is pretty damn neat. But, you want a new domain - www.myr0x0rzzsite.com - and you've found somewhere cheap to get the domain. So, you buy the domain there, and use the Addon Domains feature to allow www.myr0x0rzzsite.com to be managed from the same cPanel as www.mykewlsite.com Additionally, www.myr0x0rzzsite.com will be accessible from two addresses - www.myr0x0rzzsite.com AND www.mykewlsite.com/myr0x0rzzsite Hope this helps. |

All that means is you can use as many addon domains as you want - you can manage as many as you want from the same cPanel. You still have to buy them
