i was wondering if it was a bit of a security risk if hackers made boards they can see members ip addy's is there no way to prevent this fom happening or is it up to the member to choose wisly and have decent security..? |

Every website you go to can gather your IP. You'd have to stay off the internet if you didn't want anyone to know it. But you can stick to sites and forums that seem trustworthy. But there's really nothing useful about knowing somebody's IP, especially if you have your computer adequately secured with a firewall and trojan/virus scanner, so it's not worth worrying about. |
