Intrusive Advertisements!

The advertising at the bottom of the topic pages are to intrusive. They are butted up against the board navigation links at the bottom of each topic.

So there you are happily reading a topic in the forums, you come to the bottom of the page, you are at the end of that topic and want to go back to the forum to see what other topics have new post. You go to click on the navigation links and instead hit the damned advertisements that are so close to the navigation links that you need a high powered microscope to see where the navigation links end and the advertisements begin!

I for one do not mind the advertisements on the boards. I have seen some interesting stuff in the adds. Please put some space between the advertisements and the forum navigation links. A space as small as a ¼ to ½ inch should be enough, thank you.

If I posted this in the wrong place, sorry, I have never had a good enough reason to b!tch about anything here at IF and really don't know where to put this. Please move it if it should be somewhere else.

Ugh, another advertisment request. I seriously doubt IF will move the ads anywhere after the fiasco that happened alst time. The ads aren't intrusive; I have never once clicked on one by accident. You have eyes for a reason.

If you cannot find the difference between the ads and navigation bars, you are without a doubt legally blind. Also, if you don't want the ads there, where else should they be put? Right in the middle of the board? At the bottom? No matter where they are, people will always complain about them. How in the world is having ads at the top of the site a "scummy trick?" Put them anywhere else, and I guess it would be considered an even "scummier trick," eh?

So tired of these. There is no way you can accedently hit the ads. I make 1000 posts a day on various IF forums, most being fast reply, and I have never once clicked the ad by mistake.

You have eyes, a mouse, and a hand. Use it.

Never clicked a simgle ad since it got stuck at the bottom.

I'm just saying move the ads down a bit. Not move them somewhere else. It wouldn't take much.

Like I said, just move them down a bit. ¼ to ½ inch at most. Not that big a deal.

Somewhere in one of the 92 other topics about the new ad location, DuffMan himself seemed to agree that some sort of spacing/separator might be a good idea.

My issue with their current placement is more due to aesthetics than functionality, though I can understand how some could click them by accident, for a variety of reasons, and I don't really appreciate the whole "if you click them accidentally, you're blind or stupid" attitude.

Besides, there are actually people using IF with vision and motor skills impairments, believe it or not, as well as old and laggy computers and connections, so if we can make a minor adjustment or two to accommodate everyone a little more, it's in our best interest to do so.
