So friday night, i went out to best buy and bought me some LED case fans and such and was putting them in when i decided to put one in front of my hard drives. there was a place for one so i started taking out my hard drives and stuff.

me being the loser i am, forgot to take out my SATA cables connecting my HD's to my motherboard. I was working the HD lose when it went to far and i accidently bent BOTH SATA connections on my motherboard so badly that the black slide connectors BROKE OFF of my mobo.

i literally felt my soul break at that very moment... it was like 11PM and ALL the stores were closed so i called up my buddy and told him to get to my house ASAP. he came over and we couldnt do anything about it, so we started looking into what we could do.

the next day i bought a PCI SATA card and threw it in only to find out i couldnt get windows to load off of the HD's connected to the SATA card. so so far thats 100 bucks including the case fans down.

the next day i went to Circuitcity to buy another LED case fan and LED cathode tube to go into the box, and i then ordered me a new MoBo.

i got my mobo last night. it was the EXACT same model as my old one, a A8V-Deluxe from Asus which specifically holds all 939 socket CPU's from AMD.

so EVERYTHING is back to normal, my computer looks blue and kickass and sounds like a nice vortexing windtunnel.

so in the end, i spent 300+ on my computer and am now trying to sell my old mobo.

so if anyone is interested, my old A8V-Deluxe from Asus holds all AMD 939 socket CPU's and is still RAID AND IDE capable. it works great and everything is easy to set up. no heatsink or cpu will be provided but all the standard cables i got with it originally will come with it as well.

just PM me if u are looking for a KICK ass MoBo for your new 939 AMD CPU. just make sure u have 2 identical SATA HD's that are raidable, or some new IDE HD's with 8mb of cache.

not yet but i should. its not COMPLETELY done yet persay. im gonna throw another LED cathode or 2 in it and im gonna trick out the front face plate with red LED's where the robot face on the front would breathe from. hehe possibly a 420-watt or better LED powersupply and some other stuff. ill have to look around at what i wanna throw in it. it will look cool though.

im considiering liquid cooling but i dont believe i will have space for a radiator inside my box. so until then...no pics but hopefully soon

As soon as I saw the topic starter and title I knew it would involve you doing something crazy to your computer... Or holding a 48 hour LAN party...
