corrding to this post: This is ment for people with fast computers(at least 512mb in ram) and fast internet connections(broadband) This may sound confusing but you will get it soon enough. The firefox sticky in this forum doesnt really work compared to this. The settings i give you will go way faster and amase you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to about:config and type in all this 1} Right click....New>Booleen and name = "content.interrupt.parsing"(Without quotes) now select true 2} Right click New>Integer and enter"content.max.tokenizing.time"(without quotes)..click OK....now enter "2250000"(Without quotes)...click ok 3} Right click new>integer and name is "content.notify.interval"(without quotes)..click ok..enter "750000"(Without quotes) click ok 4} Right click....New>Booleen and name is "content.notify.ontimer"(Without quotes)..click ok..make it true 5} Right click new>integer and enter "content.switch.threshold"(Without quotes) click ok...enter "750000"(Without quotes) click ok 6} Right click New>Integer and enter "browser.cache.memory.capacity"(Without quotes)click ok then enter "65536"(Without quotes) click ok 7} Right click New>Integer and enter "nglayout.initialpaint.delay"(Without quotes)then click ok and enter "0"(Without quotes)click ok 8} Search for "network.http.max-connections"(Without quotes) and double click to enter 48 Search for "network.http.max-connections-per-server"(Without quotes) and double click to enter 16 Search for "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy"(Without quotes) and double click to enter 16 Search for "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server"(Without quotes) and double click to enter 8 that makes firefox faster then: 1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. Apperntly. I edit those 'edits' and pages in Firefox on IF load alot faster. Page creation time: 0.0261 seconds |

The page creation time is server side, not client side. So no matter how fast the browser, it will not affect the Page Creation time. Oh, and this has been posted before, i think it is a few pages back by now. |
